- Hungry.....She forcefully pushed away everything I offered her
- Wet Diaper....She was wet so I went ahead and changed her
- Teething Pain......gave her a full dose of Children's Motrin.
Put her back in her crib and she starts crying immediately!
Then I decided to rock her for a little while to give the pain meds time to kick in. As we rocked in the dark she kept reaching for her books. Remembering that I didn't read her any stories before bedtime, I felt guilty enough to give in. Then I find that I have been reading her stories for 20 minutes. Its almost 1:00 a.m., so I put her back in her crib and of course she begins screaming. I let her cry for 15 minutes and then Chris goes into her room and tries to comfort her. She continues to cry while he tries to calm her down. I finally get back out of bed frustrated to take over. WHAT DOES SHE WANT??? I begin offering her foods again and she keeps pushing them away. Then a light went on in my head and I thought to offer her Cheez-its (her current addiction).

She stopped crying immediately and pops one in her mouth with a smile. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I have just stayed up with you for over an hour all because you wanted Cheez-its for a midnight snack! Chris and I looked at each other as Katelyn happily ate her Cheez-its and we couldn't help but laugh. After she was done eating her Cheez-its, I put her to bed and she didn't cry at all.
Katelyn definitely fights for what she wants and since she is still not talking at all (with the exception of saying Mama and Dada), that leaves us with the never ending guessing game! I hope we get better at it soon or maybe Katelyn should start talking!
Ha Ha. That is funny. I had to laugh when I read this but I'm sure it was frustrating to be up that long with her. We need to get together soon! And I can't blame Katelyn for being obsessed with Cheez-its. They are super yummy.
