Salt Lake Get-Away

A few weekends ago Chris and I left Katelyn overnight with her Nana and Grandpa. We have never left Katelyn overnight with anyone, so I was kind of nervous about it. Katelyn didn't sleep as well being away from home, but other than that she did great. Chris and I went and got dinner at Pei Wei, frozen yogurt, and stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in Salt Lake.

On Saturday we went to "This is the Place" Heritage Park. We got a brochure at the visitor's center and walked around outside. I would like to go back sometime and see the village but we decided not to stay there too long because it was so hot! We also found out that the admission to see the village is half the price in the winter, so I figured that could be a fun activity to do in the winter as a family.

We then went to the Church History Museum. I really loved it! They have a lot of neat stuff there. I like to read everything so we got through about half the exhibits and I was really hungry. Chris and I decided to go ahead and get lunch. We ate lunch at the Red Iguana. It was really yummy and their salsa is amazing! We will have to go back soon and finish walking through the museum. The Church History Museum is actually open on Sunday, so that could be a fun Sunday activity. It was a fun weekend and I am glad that Katelyn can be left overnight. Chris is currently interviewing for jobs and we might at some point need to travel somewhere and leave her with Nana and Grandpa again!
