My sister and her family stayed with us one night on their way to Monterey. It was fun seeing them and having company. Katelyn was hot and cold with her cousin Ben. One minute she would be happily playing with him and then suddenly decide that he was trying to steal all of her favorite toys. Of course Ben didn't want any of her toys. He just wanted to play with her. Katelyn would grab her beloved toys and awkwardly try to run away with her arms full. She kept dropping the toys as she tried to get away. Ben followed after her hoping to play and Katelyn seemed even more convinced that he wanted her toys. Ben would eventually go play by himself and then Katelyn would want to play with him again. What a girl! I tried to get a few pictures of the happier moments!
Notice in two of these pictures Katelyn is holding her trains, Thomas and Percy. She is very attached to these trains and sleeps with them every night. One time she actually got one of the trains stuck in her hair while she was sleeping and I was sure she wouldn't want the trains in her bed anymore. Nope. She still insists on sleeping with her trains!
We drove down to Monterey one day to hang out at the beach. Nice picture of Andrew with Katelyn and Ben!
The water was so cold but Katelyn loves the beach so she didn't want to stop playing. Sometimes I regret getting Katelyn transition glasses but they are really nice for the beach!
Daniel stayed in his car seat a lot while we were at the beach so he could be shielded from the sun and cold wind.
I did get him out for a little while for a quick diaper change. A naked baby on the beach equals cute!
