Since we have lived in San Jose, we haven't ventured out to do a lot as a family. Chris told me that his coworkers would sometimes ask him if he did anything fun over the weekend. He realized that we just worked most of the weekend. Chris and I decided that needed to make time for some "wholesome recreational activities." So we all went to Vasona Park one Saturday and it was really fun! Katelyn spotted the train as soon as we got to the park, so we did that first.
As we were waiting for the train she kept saying "choo choo" and she smiled and laughed alot!
Another tongue smile. Can you tell she is excited!?!
Katelyn LOVES trains! Checkout what she has right by her pillow. We call it Tidmouth Sheds. She has Dash, two Thomas trains, Percy, James (she named the black train James), and Harold the helicopter. Chris and I finally gave her a shoe box to put her trains in because we got tired of her trains being all over her bed. Anyway.......Katelyn loves trains!
Little Daniel enjoyed the train ride too!
The train rode around the park and it was perfect! The ride lasted about 10 minutes and it was only $2 a ticket. The train also went pretty fast so it fun for everyone!
We then took Katelyn on her first carousel ride! I let her pick out a horse and I stood beside her. I am kinda of hidden in the picture. I told her it was just like from the movie Mary Poppins. She liked it and said "whee" a few times but she did ask to get off about a minute before the ride ended. I think she was starting to feel sick.
We got Katelyn a snow cone and let her play on the playground. The playground had a real old plane that the kids could play on! Vasona Park is a cool place! Finally did something fun as a family. CHECK!
