At the beginning of the year, Katelyn started a new speech class. The school district did some more testing with her last fall and based on her test scores, she was eligible to attend a speech class that meets Monday through Friday for three hours every morning. I was disappointed that Katelyn tested so poorly but I am so happy she is getting the help she needs. I also enjoy getting a chance to spend some individual time with Daniel and having some me time. It is therapeutic for everyone! Since her class meets everyday, it almost feels like she has started kindergarten.
She evens rides a bus home! Chris and I only have one car that we share so we were able to get her on the bus coming home. I am so grateful that Katelyn comes home on the bus. Daniel is usually taking his morning nap about the time I would need to leave and pick her up and it makes life so much easier to have her come back home on the bus.
She loves riding the bus! She is always telling me that she loves riding the bus and loves going to school. In her words....."I like school" or "School Bus, I like it" or "I like school bus."
These are the kind of faces I get sometimes when I ask Katelyn to smile or say "cheese". So funny! We love our sweet girl. She is growing up so fast!
