Easter Weekend

As expected, I am just now blogging about Easter. We had a really great Easter weekend. We started the weekend with an Easter Egg hunt. Katelyn didn't know what to do at first. My competitive side kicked in and I was trying to get her to hurry and get some eggs before all the other kids did.

After watching the other kids for a minute, she finally got the idea and was able to get a few eggs.

Daniel just enjoyed walking around in his new shoes!

We emptied all of Katelyn eggs and put the candy in a bag or so we thought. Daniel was really quiet for awhile and I went to check on him and found him eating candy from the eggs. I realized one egg must have been overlooked. I changed Daniel's clothes and cleaned him up.

A few hours later the exact same thing happened again. Daniel is quiet, I go check on him and he is eating candy! This time I double checked to make sure all the eggs were in fact empty. I think Daniel has a sweet tooth!

 What a little rascal!

On Easter, I wanted to get some pictures of the kids before church but that didn't happen. After dealing with Katelyn not wanting to wear her Easter dress and combing scrambled eggs out of Daniel's hair, I knew I wasn't going to have time for Easter pictures. So I had to do it after church when the kids are tired and cranky.

As I was trying to take pictures Chris said, "Just strap them down honey. Remove all free will, then you can get your picture. Just institute the plan of Satan!"

I couldn't help laughing as I snapped a few pictures of the kids crying, trying to get away. What is it with kids and Easter pictures? Is it that much to ask for a mom to get a few pictures of her kids dressed in their cute Easter outfits? I don't think so!
