Chris' parents were sweet to come visit us in California for Christmas. It was the first time that we had company and I got to be the hostess. It was fun! We went shopping and I got some help from my mother-in-law, Diann, with decorating the house! Diann helped me decorate my Christmas tree and I think it turned out looking really beautiful.
On Christmas Eve we made a trip to Santa Cruz to enjoy the nice weather and see the ocean. Katelyn's glasses have transition lens so it always looks like she has sunglasses on when we are outside.

We walked along the pier and Katelyn loved seeing all of the birds.
There were tons of seals resting on the bottom of the pier. They look pretty relaxed soaking in the rays!

Katelyn on Christmas morning on her new tricycle!

A new table from Santa. Katelyn actually sat baby at the table all by herself!
Family Christmas picture after church. I love the dress Katelyn was wearing. It was so cute!
This was the first year that Katelyn opened presents by herself. She would open a present and get excited and start playing with her new toy. It was hard to get her to open more presents and stop playing. She happily played with her new toys most of the day. We had lots of yummy food on Christmas Day. We had fresh fruit, french toast casserole, and omelet for breakfast. Then for dinner we had ham with pineapple sauce, cheese potato casserole, peas, rolls, jello salad, and apple pie with ice cream for dessert. I love a day filled with good food and lots of time with family! It was a Merry Christmas for our family!
